What is ghost mannequin (or invisible mannequin)?
Often, apparel is shot on mannequins to give customers a better idea of what the piece of garment looks like. However, to make the images look attractive, the mannequin is removed. This results in a piece of garment with a part taken out, most of the times around the collar.
At this stage we apply the ghost mannequin technique for which we require a second image of the inside of the garment.
We then combine the two images by inserting the inside in the original image to create the "invisible mannequin". That way the garment keeps it shape.
